This LP reminds of cathedral/university towns; literate, refined, tea shops, libraries, quiet, very English and somewhat divorced from grim urban realities. Refined folk pop similar to Duncan Browne's Give Me Take You, more psychedelic fare like You or the aformentioned Whitch or just simple late 60s intelligent jazzy pop. Everything here is well-written, melodic and interesting with a unified feel, very attractive and quite moving.
