Unlike many Japanese bands The Jacks did not copy western pop music but developed their own brand of psychedelic weirdness and filled their recordings with distorted fuzz guitars, spacey flute, tortured vocals, jazzy brass and vibe laden instrumental excursions. The end result is equal to some of the best US '60s garage psych but with a distinctly Japanese flavour..
