Chain are possibly the greatest blues band Australia has ever produced.
Chain are pioneers of Australian Blues. After an earlier incarnation, Phil Manning asked Matt Taylor to become a full-time member. They wrote 'Black And Blue' at their first practice.
'Black And Blue' sat at the top of the charts for 18 weeks before being squeezed out by Daddy Cool's, 'Eagle Rock'.
The classic 'Towards The Blues' album (which hit ARIA gold in 1998) was released in 1971 and went to No.6 nationally.
